What is MSSFN?
The Middle-Eastern Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (MSSFN) works under the auspices of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (WSSFN) to develop and popularize stereotactic and functional neurosurgery in the Middle East, a region of more than 350 million people.
Who is the current President of MSSFN?
Prof. Atilla Yılmaz MD, Professor of Neurosurgery & Functional Neurosurgery at Istanbul Health and Technology University, Türkiye. He is also Continental Vice-President of the WSSFN.
How do I become a member?
Send your CV, last qualification certificate, two recommendation letters from functional neurosurgeons, and a personal photo to info@mssfn.org.
Are MSSFN educational events free?
Many are. The Live DBS Surgery Course (Istanbul, 29 April 2026) is fully online with free registration for neurosurgeons, neurologists and healthcare professionals.
